About Us
Our Story
I was 14 when I first earned ‘serious’ money as a team member at Hungry Jacks. At the time, I followed the advice my parents gave me and simply put my money in the High Interest Savings Account that I had set up with my parents about a month earlier.
I knew what I wanted to save for: my first car. I didn’t know how much it was going to cost, so I simply saved and saved.
But once I got my car, I no longer knew what I was saving for. It was good to watch my savings account grow higher and higher, but why? Was there a better place to put my money, where it would grow even faster?
I asked my parents, friends, and even some teachers about something I had heard of: the “stock market”. But no one could tell me exactly what it was, how it works, and how I can get a start in the market.
At Pluton, we’re here to help bring financial literacy to young Australians so they don’t have to struggle with the same questions I did. We break down financial topics like investing, taxation, superannuation, and managing risk into practical and engaging workshops.
Honestly, if I had learned about these topics at high school, I would have felt far more confident in managing my finances as a young adult. That’s why we’re passionate about promoting financial literacy in classrooms.
Let’s give young people the knowledge they need to make smarter financial decisions. Now, and for the future.
Why Pluton?
Each year, nearly 1.8 million students graduate from high school in Australia. But only a handful graduate with a sound level of financial knowledge – knowledge they need in every day life.
Our financial education workshops combine hyper-practical content with fun delivery to increase student engagement. Our workshops are curated in partnership with qualified financial advisors and designed with experienced workshop facilitators to maximise engagement for your students.

Why Teach Students Financial Literacy?
Financial literacy is the most important topic that isn’t covered in our school system. Given that we use it everyday, shouldn’t financial literacy be a priority?
Knowing how to effectively manage money at an early age can help your students avoid debt-traps and get them out of the rat race earlier. In short, financial literacy can help your students get ahead, and stay ahead.
